Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will send the pestilence among you to destroy you, and the hunger that shall afflict you shall leave you, and the pestilence and the hunger shall destroy the offspring of your body. The Lord will strike you with all the diseases of Egypt that you know, and they shall cling to you. The Lord will strike you with all the diseases of Israel. Your seed that you send out into the field and your livestock that are in your stalls shall be consumed by a plague. The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and astonishment of heart. And you shall grope at noonday as the blind grope in darkness. You shall be only a terror to all the nations around you. And among those nations you shall find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart, and blindness of eyes, and languishing of soul. And your life shall hang in doubt before you. On your left hand, you shall be driven into all the nations, and on your right hand, you shall be driven into all the nations. There you shall serve other gods of wood and stone, which you and your fathers never knew, nor ever saw. And among these nations you shall find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart, and blindness of eyes, and languishing of soul. And your life shall hang in doubt before you. And you shall perish day by day because of the wrath of the Lord until he have destroyed you. And the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone, which you and your fathers never knew. And among these nations you shall find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of your foot, but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart, and blindness of eyes, and languishing of soul. And your life shall hang in doubt before you. And you shall perish day by day because of the wrath of the Lord until he have destroyed you. But the Lord will gather you again out of all the peoples where the Lord has scattered you. And if you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today, you shall be established on your own land, which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And he will bring you back into the land of which he swore to give to your fathers, and you shall possess it. And he will make you more fruitful and multiply you above your former number. And the Lord will turn your heart and the heart of your offspring to fear me, so that you may keep all my commandments and do them. And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people shall see the thunder and the fire and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking. And when you hear the sound of the trumpet, you shall gather all the people, you and the elders of Israel and your officers, and all the people of the land, to the entrance of the tent of meeting. And you shall say to the people, ‘Be ready for the day after tomorrow. For the Lord will come down on that day to the mount from before the eyes of all the people. And you shall set limits for the people around about, saying, ‘Take care that no one goes up to the mount or touches the edge of it. Otherwise, he will die. For thus the Lord has said, “I will come into the midst of you in a moment, and in a moment I will consume you, because the Lord will come down on you in fire, and the fire will consume you. Therefore, you shall set limits for the people around about, saying, ‘Be careful not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Any who touch the mountain shall be put to death. There shall not be one who escapes, nor shall there be one who escapes from his place. But the Lord will go before you and will be with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear, nor be dismayed.'”
