Where is Detroit City Located?

Detroit, often referred to as the Motor City, is a city located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Michigan. Nestled along the Detroit River, which separates Michigan from the Canadian province of Ontario, the city serves as a significant gateway between the United States and Canada. Detroit’s strategic location has historically made it a pivotal hub for transportation, trade, and industry, particularly in the automotive sector. The city’s central position in the Midwest also contributes to its cultural and economic significance within the United States.

Geographically, Detroit is situated in Wayne County and is bordered by the Detroit River to the north, the Rouge River to the south, and the Detroit River to the east.
