How to Disable Invite Links on Discord Mobile- A Step-by-Step Guide
How to Disable Invites on Discord Mobile
In today’s digital age, Discord has become a popular platform for communication among gamers, communities, and teams. Discord allows users to create servers where they can chat, share files, and collaborate with others. However, server owners might want to disable invites on Discord mobile to prevent unauthorized access and protect their server’s privacy. In this article, we will guide you through the process of disabling invites on Discord mobile, ensuring that only authorized members can join your server.
Step 1: Open Discord Mobile App
Firstly, open the Discord mobile app on your smartphone. If you haven’t installed it yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
Step 2: Navigate to Server Settings
Once the app is open, locate the server you want to disable invites for. Tap on the server’s name to open the server menu. From there, tap on the “Server Settings” option to access the server’s configuration settings.
Step 3: Go to Server Roles
In the server settings menu, scroll down and tap on “Server Roles.” This section allows you to manage the roles within your server, including their permissions and settings.
Step 4: Create a New Role
To disable invites, you need to create a new role with restricted permissions. Tap on the “+” button to create a new role. Give this role a name, such as “Invite-Disabled,” and set its permissions accordingly. Ensure that this role does not have the “Manage Server” permission, as this will allow the role’s members to modify server settings, including invites.
Step 5: Assign the Role to Server Members
Next, assign the “Invite-Disabled” role to the members you trust and want to have access to your server without requiring invites. You can do this by selecting the members from the server list and tapping on the “Add Role” button.
Step 6: Modify Server Permissions
Now, go back to the server settings menu and tap on “Permissions.” In this section, find the “Invite Users” permission and select “Deny” for the “Invite-Disabled” role. This will prevent members with this role from inviting others to the server.
Step 7: Save Changes
Finally, tap on the “Save” button at the top-right corner of the screen to save the changes. Your server’s invites are now disabled for all members with the “Invite-Disabled” role.
By following these steps, you can effectively disable invites on Discord mobile, ensuring that only authorized members can join your server. This will help protect your server’s privacy and maintain control over its membership.
