how to delete twitch streams

To delete a Twitch stream, it’s important to clarify that you can’t delete a stream once it has already been broadcast live. However, you can delete the VOD (Video on Demand), which is the recording of your stream after it has ended. Here’s how to do that:
Deleting VODs (Recorded Streams) on Twitch:
1. Log into your Twitch account.
Go to [Twitch](https://www.twitch.tv/) and log in with your credentials.
2. Go to your Creator Dashboard.
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select Creator Dashboard from the dropdown menu.
3. Navigate to the Content section.
On the left-hand sidebar, click on Content, then choose Video Producer. This is where your past broadcasts (VODs) are stored.
4. Find the VOD you want to delete.
Browse through your recorded streams. You can sort them by date to make it easier to find the specific stream.
5. Delete the VOD.
Once you find the stream you want to delete, click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to the VOD. From the menu, select Delete. Confirm that you want to delete the video.
Important Notes:
– You can only delete VODs that are saved. If you have not enabled VOD saving or if you’ve set your broadcasts to automatically expire, the VOD may not be available for deletion.
– VODs are saved by default for 14 days for regular users and 60 days for Twitch Partners, Affiliates, and Prime members (depending on your account settings).
– If you want to make sure VODs don’t get saved in the future, you can disable VOD saving in your Twitch settings.
If you were asking about deleting a stream in real-time (like a live stream during the broadcast), that’s not possible. Once live, you would need to end the stream, but it will automatically save the VOD unless you specifically disable the option.
